Membership Levels
There are two levels of membership in the Inland Empire Health Information Exchange (IEHIE)
Level One: IEHIE Coalition Member: $500 per year
- Eligible to serve on committees
- No voting rights
- Not eligible to serve on IEHIE governing council
Level Two: Leadership Group: $ one time fee – see below
- Eligible to vote
- Eligible to hold office
- Eligible to serve on a committee
- Does not include use of HIE
Hospitals – One Time Fee
Small (10-50 Beds) – $1800
Medium (50-125 Beds) – $3600
Large (125+ Beds) – $9000
Physician Groups/IPAs - One Time Fee
Small Group (0-9 physicians) – $600
Medium Group (10-24 physicians) – $1800
Large Group (24-49 physicians) – $4200
Very Large Group (50+ physicians) – $6000
Others – One Time Fee
Health Plans – $9000
Public Health Dept. Clinics – $1800
FQHC – $1800

Benefits of Participation
Through its three phases, members of the IEHIE can:
- Exchange real-time clinical information among participating providers
- View consolidated clinical data (allergies, test results, medications,
etc.) from one screen - Receive electronic alerts and notifications on your patients
- Submit laboratory and radiology orders and receive results online
- Provide patients ability to view their clinical record online
- Create case management care plans for patients with chronic conditions
- Electronically transmit prescriptions
- View radiology reports and images online, linked to the patient record
- Submit immunizations/syndromic surveillance/lab data to public health
IEHIE Participation Includes:
Central System Setup, Onsite Participant Training and Testing for:
- Clinical Provider Portal
- Clinical Data Repository
- Integration Engine
- Notifications and Alerts
- Master Patient Index
- Continuity of Care Document Exchange
- Patient Portal
- Up to three basic data interfaces for Admissions/Registration, Lab and Radiology Reports, and Discharge/Visit Summaries
NOTE: SPECIALIZED DATA INTERFACE COSTS WILL BE PROVIDED ON A CUSTOMIZED BASIS AT COST TO THE PROVIDER
Cost to Participate
- Fees are based on one-time start-up costs, interfaces between systems and an annual license.
- Fees are allocated by Hospitals based on bed size and by number of MDs to determine the annual subscription
- Self-sustaining model with discounts provided IF grant funds are received
